Every approved deliverable has one more step: getting posted. The new content calendar closes that gap — drag tasks onto a month, week, or day view (per brand, per project, or across all clients), compose the post, collect the client's sign-off, and let Timeliner publish it on schedule.

  • Compose once, publish everywhere: a shared caption with per-network overrides, platform options (YouTube title, tags & Shorts, Instagram feed/reel/story, TikTok settings), hashtag groups, and a live phone preview.
  • Client approval built in: clients sign off on the caption, thumbnail, and timing right from their share link — an unapproved post is held, never published.
  • Auto-publishing is live for Instagram, YouTube & LinkedIn — Facebook, TikTok & X are coming next. Plan those posts on the calendar today.
  • Clients connect their own accounts through a no-login invite link — no passwords changing hands.
  • Best-time suggestions, drag-to-reschedule, and posting analytics (reach, engagement, top posts) close the loop.

Your AI can write the captions now

New in the API

The Timeliner MCP & API got smarter — they can craft posts and captions for you

Any AI connected through the Timeliner MCP — Claude, Cursor, ChatGPT — could already read your posting calendar: captions, publish status, live post links. Now it can write, too. Tell it “draft captions for next week's posts” and the copy lands directly in each post's composer, ready for your review.

  • Ask your AI to draft the copy: it reads the post's context from your workspace and writes the shared caption or per-network versions — a punchier TikTok hook, a longer YouTube description.
  • Safe by design: AI can craft captions but can never schedule, move, or publish a post — and if a client already approved a caption, an AI edit sends it back for re-review.
  • Works ahead of the plan: caption deliverables before they're even on the calendar, and the copy is waiting in the composer.

Janet keeps getting sharper

Janet — Timeliner's in-app AI — picked up a memory for what happens in your workspace, and a completely rebuilt first-run experience.

  • Ask about history: "who did what today?", "which tasks were approved this week?" — Janet now reads the activity log and status-move history.
  • Her actions and undos show up in the UI instantly — no page refresh.
  • New onboarding: Janet interviews you, sets up your workspace, and shows a live preview of your client portal as it takes shape.

Client portal & share links

  • Clients now see the posting plan on brand-level share links — the shared calendar shows every scheduled post.
  • Your branding follows the client everywhere: per-brand portal design and per-link theme overrides now apply to logged-in guests too.
  • Guest approvers can do more themselves: rename tasks, organize files in Raw files & Assets, and recreate share links.
  • Bulk review is back and better on the share grid — approve buttons plus marquee drag-select.
  • Quieter for clients: no notifications when your team moves statuses on a client's behalf, "Forever" links really last forever, and the end-client column is clearly labeled "Awaiting End Client Approval".

Downloads, files & imports

  • Every bulk download now asks: one ZIP or separate files — on tasks, projects, folders, and share links alike.
  • Brand folders zip server-side, so big raw-file folders download reliably, and project ZIPs are named after the project.
  • Import brands & projects from CSV or XLSX, straight from the sidebar's + menu.
  • The Raw files & Assets dialog now uses nearly the whole screen, and MXF footage is recognized as media.

Transcripts & audio

  • Downloaded transcripts are named after their task (transcript-<task name>.srt/.txt).
  • Audio files now transcode reliably on their own pipeline, and silent videos no longer leave transcripts stuck at 99%.

Polish & under the hood

  • Insert tables in the media-task Instructions tab, and hover a variant thumbnail in list view for a live video preview.
  • Variant approvals reset when the parent task advances to a new review stage — no stale sign-offs.
  • File uploads batch into a single notification per upload session, with a new "File uploads" group in batch notification settings.
  • Task creation now shows in the Activity Log, and discarding a running timer keeps your saved time logs.

Janet AI

Elite · Beta

Your AI assistant, built into Timeliner

Prefer your AI built in? Meet Janet — Timeliner's in-app assistant. Ask about your workspace in plain language and let her take action, with every change confirmed before it happens and undoable after.

  • Ask anything in plain language — "what's overdue?", "how's the team doing?", "where does Ep.12 live?"
  • Take action: create brands, projects, tasks and folders — every write is confirm-gated and undoable.
  • Grounded in your real workspace and scoped to exactly what you're allowed to see.

Everything else from the June batch

  • On-demand video transcription (Elite) — select words in the transcript to comment on the exact moment, with full RTL support.
  • Intake forms — polished live preview (mobile + desktop framing), now available on Basic-template workspaces too.
  • Client review & sharing — shareable brand raw files, one unified project brief, private folders that stay private, faster downloads, and auto-revert when clients comment via share links.
  • Smarter boards — custom colored-pill Select columns and group-by on any list or kanban board.
  • Live doc collaboration — true real-time co-editing with presence, no conflict banners.
  • Smarter notifications — task assignments batch into your digest; announcement banners target team, guests, or both.
